2018: Educational Resources for Future Generation – CCD Bucharest (*)

Objective: developing competences of educational experts, providing a better training offer in TTCB; sharing professional experiences gained during the study-visit, adapting it to local/national priorities.

Specific objectives:

  1. Enhancing the expertise and capability of 4 trainers to provide a wide range of courses and activities, to implement the basic principles of the democratic education in RO.
  2. Providing new attitudes & enhancing social inclusion in schools, building a school for all.

European Wergeland Centre (NO) is a European center of resources for intercultural education, human rights and democratic education.

Impact: The participants gained guidelines for achieving democratic education skills and competences disseminated later to teachers in primary/secondary schools. A growing diversity at practitioner level and developing competences relevant to the concept of democratic and active citizenship in their communities.

Results: Democratic Education in RO Schools (course)

Competences: teachers’ democratic competences; theoretical approaches on Democratic Education; implementing strategies of the basic principles of the democracy in schools.

Indicators: 4 trained teachers; 1 blended-learning course; 4 dissemination activities; 1 conference; 1 nonformal activity; 180 trainees; 5400 students.

The Icelandic Partner is a non-profit consortium developing innovative educational initiatives and a wide variety of training activities on intercultural education, anti-racism etc.

Impact: The teachers’ trainers were taught on diversity and its challenges, vulnerable groups and how to identify the needs of such groups, creative designs on intercultural education, building responses to the group’s needs.

Main result: Methods to increase retention of disadvantaged learners (course)

Competences: a sensitive approach of stereotypes, prejudice, racism, discrimination and exclusion; developed teaching strategies; creating a safe learning environment; learning to appreciate diversity; appreciating competences in a learner-centered environment.

Indicators: 4 trained teachers; 1 blended-learning course; 4 dissemination activities; 1 round-table; 4 meetings; 180 trainees; 4800 students.
