Project promoter: Universitatea Transilvania Brașov

Project Code: 18-MOB-0042

The main objective of the project is to improve the skills and competences of students and staff in Higher Education, through enhancing students and staff mobility between the Norwegian School of Hotel Management of University of Stavanger (US), Norway (as donor state), and the Faculty of Food and Tourism of Transilvania University of Brasov (UniTBv), Romania (as beneficiary state).

The project allowed 1 master student from UniTBv to undertake a study mobility at Stavanger University and another study mobility is foreseen for the academic year 2020-2021. Students are provided with insight into the cultural, social and practical implications of the tourism and hospitality industry as a current and innovative field of activity. This includes reflections on the practical ethical implications of tourism today, with an increased awareness of responsibility and sustainability in the practice of tourism. The mobility project consolidates the institutional cooperation based on common needs in the field of higher education, improves skills and knowledge of the master students, develops their linguistic, cultural and educational capacities. The project allows diversifying the academic and cultural environment of both institutions.
