Over 82% of the families found in these communities rely on social benefits and are engaged in farming and livestock as means of support. Many pupils have never travelled outside their vilages where social and extracurricular activities are so reduced.<\/p>\n<p>Two primary schools are isolated in the mountain area, lack public transportation, social and leisure opportunities. Their pupils face geographical segregation as they attend separate nursery and elementary school classes in facilities found in social-economically challenged areas.<\/p>\n<p>The project target group includes 200 students with adaptation and integration issues (120 Roma children and 80 non-Roma children), 70 parents (50 Roma and 20 non-Roma parents) and 70 teachers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Project objectives:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Promoting non-formal education by participation of Roma students in extracurricular activities;<\/li>\n<li>Acquiring and developing key competences to facilitate social inclusion;<\/li>\n<li>Providing information, awareness and counseling services for Roma and non-Roma parents to understand the importance of education for their child\u2019s development, improving their relationship with the school and enhancing levels of communication;<\/li>\n<li>Acquiring new knowledge and improving teachers\u2019 skills of the five partner schools concerning student-centered teaching methods in a multicultural environment, as well as developing the capacity to enhance and use behavioral education strategies that promote non-discrimination, equality of chances, school and social inclusion.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Achieving these objectives contributes to: the development of social competences of Roma pupils required for social inclusion; improving the attitude and behavior of Roma parents towards school, developing communication and relationships between Roma and non-Roma parents, diversifying teaching methods centered on students through newly developed didactic materials and participation in trainings organized for teachers, all of which lead to increase in the institutional capacity of partner schools to ensure the effective inclusion of Roma children.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cid.org.ro\/hai-sa-fim-colegi-de-scoala\/\">More about project<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/HaiSaFimColegiDeScoala\/\">Facebook<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Project Promoter: Funda\u021bia \u201eCopii \u00een Dificultate\u201c Project Code: 2018-EY-PICR-R1-0004 The Consortium Coordinator, the Foundation of Children in Distress, will implement the project together with 5 schools from rural communities in Arges County: Bughea de Sus, Bughea de Jos, Leresti, Merisani and Stefanesti. Mul\u021bi elevi nu au c\u0103l\u0103torit niciodat\u0103 \u00een afara localit\u0103\u021bii, gradul de socializare \u0219i oferta extracurricular\u0103 fiind extrem de reduse. \u00centruc\u00e2t urmeaz\u0103 separat cursurile pre\u0219colare \u0219i primare \u00een structuri care se g\u0103sesc \u00een satele \u00een care locuiesc, situate la c\u00e2\u021biva kilometri distan\u021b\u0103 de \u0219coala gimnazial\u0103 din comun\u0103, elevii romi din ciclul primar se confrunt\u0103 mai t\u00e2rziu cu dificult\u0103\u021bi de integrare \u00een clasa a V-a, c\u00e2nd intr\u0103 \u00een contact cu al\u021bi elevi neromi.<\/p><p><strong>Grupul \u021bint\u0103<\/strong> al proiectului este format din 200 de elevi (120 romi\/80 neromi), 70 de p\u0103rin\u021bi (50 romi\/20 neromi) \u0219i 70 de cadre didactice.<\/p><p><strong>Obiectivele proiectului:<\/strong><\/p><ol><li>Promovarea educa\u021biei nonformale ca metod\u0103 de incluziune social\u0103 a elevilor romi;<\/li><li>Dob\u00e2ndirea \u0219i dezvoltarea competen\u021belor cheie care s\u0103 faciliteze incluziunea social\u0103 a elevilor romi;<\/li><li>Furnizarea de servicii de informare \u0219i consiliere pentru p\u0103rin\u021bii romi \u0219i neromi pentru a \u00een\u021belege importan\u021ba educa\u021biei \u00een dezvoltarea copilului;<\/li><\/ol><p>Acumularea de cuno\u0219tin\u021be \u0219i \u00eembun\u0103t\u0103\u021birea abilit\u0103\u021bilor prefesorilor privind aplicarea de metode \u0219i tehnici de predare centrate pe elev \u00eentr-un mediu multicultural, dezvoltarea capacit\u0103\u021bii de elaborare \u0219i utilizare a unor strategii educative ce promoveaz\u0103 nediscriminarea, egalitatea de \u0219anse \u0219i incluziunea \u0219colar\u0103 \u0219i social\u0103. Se vor dezvolta competentele sociale ale elevilor, va fi \u00eembunat\u0103\u021bit\u0103 atitudinea p\u0103rin\u021bilor fa\u021b\u0103 de \u0219coal\u0103 \u0219i se vor diversifica metodele de predare prin materialele didactice noi.
